Using proven therapeutic techniques, Dr. Ho will discuss collaboratively with you to develop a customized treatment plan to address your therapeutic goals in an informative approach.

    Psychiatric Diagnostic Assessment

    A psychiatric diagnostic evaluation is the first step. Ample time is dedicated to ensure the evaluation is tailored to your journey.

    The initial consultation consists of a psychiatric diagnostic evaluation. This functions as an opportunity for you and Dr. Ho to meet one another, and for Dr. Ho to learn more about your history and current needs and form an initial diagnostic understanding to guide your treatment.

    Adults: One or two 60-minute evaluation sessions.

    Child/Adolescents: Two 60-minute evaluation sessions

    Psychiatric Medication Management

    Discuss whether or not medication will be effective. Discuss evidence based treatments. Ample opportunity to answer your questions.

    Regular follow up appointments are held to keep in touch with your experience with the medication, address any concerns, and minimize any adverse effects.

    Brief psychotherapeutic concepts will also be incorporated as other factors, such as lifestyle factors, are important for mental wellbeing

    Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)

    For patients with sleep challenges

    Evidence-based and effective treatment for insomnia that does not involve medication.

    Explore your sleep concerns in more depth and learn life-long sustainable techniques to improve your sleep.

    Occurs during follow up appointments occurring weekly/biweekly over the span of 2-3 months (about 8 sessions).

    30-45 minute follow up appointments over the course of approximately 8 sessions

    In Person Appointments

    For the initial appointment, you will meet with Dr. Ho in-person at his comfortable & inviting office in Addison, TX. This allows you and Dr. Ho to get to know each other more effectively.

    Subsequent follow-up appointments are also available in-person.

    Telepsychiatry

    If desired, follow-up appointments can generally be offered as a telehealth appointment for your convenience

    Telehealth appointments are held virtually over a HIPAA-compliant video platform. Patients must be located in Texas at the time of the appointment.

    Collaboration

    If you are established with a therapist, Dr. Ho can, at your request, communicate with your therapist, primary doctor, etc.

    Telehealth appointments are held virtually over a HIPAA-compliant video platform. Patients must be located in Texas at the time of the appointment.

Services not offered and out-of-scope for this practice: psychological testing, forensic evaluations (such as: child custody evaluations, parental fitness evaluation, guardianship evaluation, disability evaluations), litigation work, emotional support animal (ESA) letters, short-term disability paperwork, and FMLA paperwork for past or planned leave within 3 months.

The following conditions/treatments are also out-of-scope for this practice and not treated/offered: substance use disorders, acute eating disorders, opioids (eg, methadone, Suboxone), benzodiazepines (eg, Ativan, Klonopin, Xanax) and ketamine.

Patients who are transferring care from other physicians or providers should note that Dr. Ho will still complete a diagnostic evaluation and determine if your psychiatric treatment continues to be appropriate. Renewal of existing prescriptions is not guaranteed.
